Features of the Nightforce ATACR:

Due to the large tube diameter, the 56mm objective lens does not look as large as on a 30mm tube scope. Over the 5.5-22x56mm NXS model the weight of the ATACR is up 19% because of the growing dimension of the scope. Moreover, this binocular is one inch shorter than the NXS, which also helped to keep the weight down. The overall dimensions are not as large as the other tactical scopes.

The ATACR has an aircraft grade 6061-T6 multi-piece aluminum tube. The wall of the tube is two to three times thicker than the other scopes. The 34mm tube of ATACR is better than the 30mm tube, it allows for adjustment range for both elevation and windage. The tube of ATACR is sealed with O-rings around the lenses. The metal lock rings and bonding agents ensures everything is tightly sealed and durable. Over the entire scope, there is a hard-anodized exterior in a matte black finish. The off-white markings are sharp, clear and easy to read. Fully ED glass lenses are multi-coated for light transmission and anti-fogging.

A list of additional items are also attached to the scope such as the screws that controls the elevation adjustment to 110 threads per inch, hand bed the lenses, titanium for adjustment springs and some other items. The ATACR scopes are very bright and clear that gives excellent contrast even in low light or in an overcast day. The resolution is very sharp and of top quality as compared to other riflescopes. The Nightforce ATACR riflescope combines all the advanced features with a long list of improvements from the previous NXS model.
