Aims to Get Britain More Active as Lack of Exercise Causes Up 37,000 Deaths a Year: Solware Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/21/2015 -- Increasing attention is being drawn towards what appears to be a growing health issue in the UK: Physical inactivity. It is estimated that a lack of exercise costs the economy up to £20 billion per year and is responsible for up to 37,000 deaths annually also. A number of initiatives have been launched in response – with much greater focus expected on encouraging active lifestyles across society.

One such initiative has been titled 'Blueprint for an active Britain' and is launched by UKactive. This is a not-for-profit organisation which encourages the government to take action across public services to emphasize the importance of exercise. A big part of this is expected to be the endorsement of hobbies and sports, especially exciting new tasks to get people involved. Keen to comment on this was Solware, a key provider of sport gunning equipment which is encouraging people to try something new through the active and engaging task of pistol shooting. A spokesperson had this to say:

"The recent statistics reveal that a lack of exercise can have massive implications for both health and finances. What is important, in order to respond constructively to this, is to open up opportunities for people to be active in ways that are exciting. Practicing with an air gun is a key example of this – as sports don't get much more high-adrenaline. It's accessible too, as following on from success in The Olympics and Commonwealth Games, a number of venues are opening up across the country. Especially popular is skirmishing: which gives shooters the opportunity of engaging in a high-action team game. There is so much opportunity to get active in the world off air gunning at the moment – don't miss out!"
