American Kids Expanding the Programs to Include Special Needs Youth

 

Spingfield, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/23/2014 -- American Kids has announced the expansion of their program to include special needs youth, the programs are scheduled to held on October 18-19 (Saturday & Sunday) 8 am - 4 pm at the VFW 329 SE Douglas St. Lee’s Summit, Mo. 64063. During the event auditions for troupe(s) by entertainment individuals/groups, parent orientation, talent show has been planned inclusive of experienced & first time entertainers & “if appropriate” and “if available” a competition event may also be held. American Kids aim is to encourage special needs youth by promoting their special talents and make a positive impact on their peers and the community.

American Kids upholds: “With emphasis on personal development and family unity American Kids uses the performing arts experience as the vehicle to make a positive difference in the world. A membership competition format and hundreds of shows presented annually for all manners of events. With the support of the Board and volunteer visionaries, college scholarships have been developed for selected senior members. Their activities develop young members and supportive peer friendships and create alliances with those who also embrace the mission statement: TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY TO YOUNG PEOPLE TO PERFORM IN WHOLESOME ENVIRONMENTS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS AND ENTERTAINERS.”

The event will be judged by Dr. Dale Smith, President & Founder AmericanKids. Inc. and anyone under 18 years of age can participate in the auditions free of cost. Most of the two days will be filmed and broadcasted on Acts Television Network which includes Ustream & YouTube. Dr. Dale Smith, President and Founder of AmericanKids. Inc. established the program with a goal to make all kid feel like they are a part of something positive and the can further spread this positivity on the people surrounding them, similarly by expanding the program to embrace special needs kids the American Kids will encourage them and make them feel like there are an able and active part of the community and can also influence a positive change. Therefore the goals of this particular program on October 18-19 (Saturday & Sunday) 8 am - 4 pm at the VFW 329 SE Douglas St. Lee’s Summit, Mo. 64063 will be to make participants feel that everyone is a winner and they leave with positive feeling about themselves. Participating Individuals & Organizations will include Autism Outreach Fellowship, Acts Media Group, Principal Financial Group, Jay Hunt, Kent Kyle, and Paul & Nancy Collins.
