Apple Headhunt Top British 'Tesla' Engineer

Trawden, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/19/2016 -- Apple have headhunted a top British executive of the Tesla car company in a strategic move to beat the electric car producer well in advance of the eagerly-anticipated Apple car. Experts and developers at the Silicon Valley Company are rumoured to have been working on an electric powered vehicle for numerous years and have now hired Tesla's former vehicle engineering Vice President, Chris Porritt, according to reports.

Following the study of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, Mr Porritt started out his illustrious career with Land Rover as their chief engineer and progressed on to Aston Martin prior to joining the world famous Tesla Company. The Apple car is due to be released to the public in 2019 or 2020 and will be produced in Austria according to some sources.

Apple have recruited a series of talented experts starting in January with Megan McClain, a former specialist engineer for Volkswagen and Vinay Palakkode, a graduate researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, a driving research hub. To add to the already strong team, August saw Apple hire Xianqiao Tong, a former Nvidia Corp engineer.

A spokesperson for SEO Agency Manchester said "Whilst Apple have dominated the communications industry with groundbreaking products like the iPhone and iPad, it looks like they are now set to conquer the automotive industry with their eagerly awaited and no doubt cutting edge Apple car. It will be really exciting to see how this fares with Tesla's innovations and to see what the future of driving may look like in not so many years to come."
