Art School Television Slated for Launch

Indiegogo push will fund production of first online art school TV channel

Ajaccio, France -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/06/2014 -- A TV channel devoted to art and art instruction with daily live broadcasts, reports, shows and interviews related to painting, sculpture and other genres of art is slated to go live on television. Operating under the name Tokkun Academy, this venture will expand upon the existing online art school for professionals and its current extensive DVD platform.

The Academy projects have been produced by Tokkun Studio, a visual development studio in Corsica, France, since 2006. The studio was co-founded by Benoit Ferriere, a veteran art director in the video game industry; along with David Pernicci, senior project manager in web/print. The studio advanced to become a school in 2012. It features experienced staff with as much as 20 years of experience in the industry. Many staff members have contributed premium design to projects in the gaming and film industry. With up to 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, the Academy will use results-oriented innovative teaching methods.

New students and advanced professionals alike will be able to gain techniques from the replayable class sessions, or they may opt to watch the 16 hours of interviews, reports, programs and documentaries. Students stand to gain knowledge related to technologies from teaching artists who have worked on top-tier projects such as Harry Potter, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, Thor, Shrek and many other popular projects.

2D, 3D, VFX and other technology coursework will be available during the 8 hours of daily broadcasting.

Other course examples include Photoshop collage methods, picture narration, line constructing versus image blocking, heroic fantasy, prop design, creature design and more. A lot depends upon the art concentration the student desires, and the type of job or career they intend to pursue.

Students will have the option of experiencing the adventure from the inside and benefit from first-hand coaching.

Classes will be available in live or replay mode for just $10 monthly.

The success of this campaign will help bring the project to fruition.
