Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2014 -- Atlanta Music Education, LLC is pleased to announce their new studio space in downtown Tucker, Georgia at The Kingfisher Academy, in addition to their continuing of in home music lessons. The music studio is a modern take on music lessons, providing private lessons, music camps, recitals, musical outings and open mic nights, all designed to inspire young people to make music. The innovative music school moved into their new home after four years of teaching music lessons in students' homes and other Atlanta studios.
Atlanta Music Education, LLC is the brainchild of Elexa Bancroft and Matthew Johnson. Their goal is to have an environment that will capture and keep today’s youth attention and transform their musical talents, no matter what their age and no matter how much experience they have. Bancroft and Johnson mix standard instructional techniques with innovative music modules which function as a program of experiences in music. In addition to providing music lessons in group and private settings, the studio takes children into the community to perform, listen, and collaborate with others. These adventures give students a well-rounded appreciation for music's place in the world.
"We love teaching our students music classics to even the fun pop songs they hear on the radio like Bastille and songs from Frozen,” said Bancroft. "We believe in making music fun and relevant to today's youth and families. Music rocks, and we want everyone to experience it." Atlanta Music Education, LLC teaches students of all ages and works with all budgets and schedules. The school specializes in guitar, piano, ukulele and voice and its instructors are active performers in their own right.
Atlanta Music Education, LLC is visible at many local festivals including Oak Groove Festival, Decatur Arts Festival, Tucker Day, Tucker Farmers Market and more with their popular “musical petting zoo.” The school hosts open mic nights and students have performed six music recitals for a local retirement home, in addition to being featured at Atlanta Music Club events, Capitol City Opera children's chorus and numerous talent shows in area schools. They also maintain an impressive social media presence, with over 50 videos on YouTube, plus a Facebook page where they share photos and news of the studio's latest events.
Atlanta Music Education will host the Tucker Small Fall Music Festival Friday October 24, 2014 to celebrate their grand opening at the Kingfisher Academy. The event will feature live student performances, local young indie bands, food trucks and snow cones, artist and craft vendors, kid games and prizes, make n take instrument projects, a photo booth and more. The event hopes to bring awareness to the community of the importance of arts education.
