Baby's Gift Art Made to Museum Standards

Museum quality prints for baby art ensure decades of enjoyment

Santa Monica, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/09/2015 -- Custom framed artwork with babies in mind from an LA designer is done on museum quality canvas and with museum quality materials.

Artist Sarah Nehamen, the creator of In Joy Artistry, said she looked into options that would be cheaper. But considering what she is designing for, the works have to stand up to time.

"These custom prints are meant to be a gift for a newborn. Certainly the parents will be ones to appreciate the gift for many years. And when the child is old enough, the artwork will become a treasured heirloom." Ms. Nehamen said.

She pointed to artworks of the grand masters that are centuries old and still vibrant and colorful. With digital printing technologies, customized prints can do the same.

"We have learned a lot in the art world about what it takes to preserve something. We've also learned a lot about using durable materials to create our art. This makes long-term preservation even easier," she said.

Each canvas is a poly-cotton weave specifically designed to resist humidity and shrinking. An acid-free coating eliminates the worry that comes with other prints that can rapidly age after a decade or so. The special coating also allows the ink to better penetrate and hold.

Ms. Nehamen makes sure to print with inks that resist fading and provide a high contrast.

"Children love bright colors. They want something that stands out and makes an impression. InJoy Art does that. A newborn may not recognize the shapes and animals in the prints, but the vibrant colors will attract the baby's attention," she said.
