Just outside Washington D.C., the premiere wine bar and bistro serves new takes on classic dessert favorites
Glenelg, MD -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/21/2015 -- Bistro Blanc, a wine bar and bistro located in Howard County, announces a new dessert menu for the Fall. The menu features pastry chef Jessica Banner 's rendition of classic favorites with a Bistro Blanc twist, incorporating locally-sourced ingredients.
"We're known for our diverse portfolio of over 400 Wines. However, I wanted to also make the bistro a 'dessert destination. We're delighted to offer these new ideas on beloved classics," says owner Raj Kathuria.
The new additions include Bistro Blanc's "PB + J." This is a rich homage to the classic sandwich, with peanut butter terrine, port poached grape "jelly," peanut butter powder, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla ice cream.
Instead of just a traditional apple strudel, the chef has created the Rhubarb Apple Strudel. The Strudel features lemon curd, oat streusel, lemongrass ice cream and hippentuile. We are also featuring a Cinnamon Butterscotch Pudding, Dark Chocolate Crème Brulee, and a Warm Chocolate CabernetGanache and featuring one of the Bistro Blanc's premiere wines.
The new dessert menu is available for brunch and dinner, during regular dining hours. Bistro Blanc is located at Bistro Blanc, 3800 Ten Oaks Road, Glenelg, Maryland.
