Black Skeptics Chicago Supports Community's Call for Accountability from Chicago Pastors

Chicago, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/11/2014 -- In light of Governor elect Bruce Raunner's victory in Illinois' gubernatorial race, Black Skeptics of Chicago stands in solidarity with the Chicago African American community and its demand that Bishop Larry Trotter, Pastor Corey Brooks, and Reverend James Meeks account for their backing of Raunner.

Congregants who support, volunteer, and tithe to these pastors' churches find their support of Raunner objectionable because he is vehemently against The Affordable Care Act, unions, expanding pensions, and a minimum wage increase. These are programs and policies that assist African Americans of all class backgrounds.

Black Skeptics of Chicago supports the African American community's call for accountability and transparency from Trotter, Brooks and Meeks about their vision of leadership in their respective communities. Black Skeptics of Chicago joins concerned members of the community in calling for an open forum and timely debate on these critical issues.
