Marina del Rey, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/21/2016 -- David Sullivan, author of Blood Sacrifice: Fame Over Loyalty, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production of a movie based on his book. Blood Sacrifice: Fame Over Loyalty follows the journey of hero Corey Cash from rags to riches. Although Corey finds fame and wealth, he learns that success comes at a price. The book was released on December 22, 2015, to positive reception.

In order to promote the book, Sullivan created a book "trailer" that was launched on Facebook and Instagram and received more than 14 thousand views in a short time. Positive feedback on the book trailer and the desire of viewers to see a more complete film version prompted Sullivan to launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to produce the film.

According to Sullivan, "Omar Gooding, Glenn Plummer, Samuel Monroe Jr., De'Aundre Bonds, and Sidney Star are recognizable names who star in the trailer, and I would like them to be in the movie also. My budget for the movie on the lower scale is $375,000. I plan on using the raised funds to pay for a director, secure locations, city permits, casting agent, actors, extras, film crew, catering, all props, set vehicles, producer, the score, wardrobe, makeup artist, stylist/ barber, green screen room, and all miscellaneous occurrences. The filming is planned to go on for roughly 28 days in Los Angeles and Hollywood."
