Baltimore, MD -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/11/2015 -- Mid Atlantic Networking announces their 2nd Annual "Maryland's Top Crab Cake Challenge" for Tuesday, September 15, from 3 to 8 PM. Local Maryland restaurants and caterers will compete to see who makes the best crab cake, while local breweries will also compete for Best Beer awards. All attendees will be the judges at the event, purchasing an admission pass ($20 in advance; $25 at the door) and receiving 20 tickets to sample crab cakes and local beers. After sampling, attendees vote for their favorites.
The event also features over 75 local businesses exhibiting on site, a Networking Reception, a Silent Auction sponsored by LGC Sports Marketing to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer research, as well as a Casino Night complete with prizes.
The event will take place in the ballroom at Michael's Eighth Ave. at 7220 Grayburn Drive Glen Burnie, MD. The winners of the challenge will be announced at the Networking Reception in the outdoor patio garden following the event from 7:30-9:30pm.
This year's competing restaurants/caterers include Michael's Eighth Ave. Catering, Perry's Restaurant, the Port House Grill, the Ross Caterers, Inc., Roy's Kwik Korner, Supano's Steakhouse and Tavern 101. Some of the area's top breweries will be at the event as well sampling 3 flavors each of their brew. After all, what goes better with crab cakes (other than Old Bay) than beer? On hand this year will be Heavy Seas, Eastern Shore Brewing, Raven Beer, Diamondback Brewing and Flying Dog.
