Calvin Whaley Joins Parkman White, LLP

 

Birmingham, AL -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/07/2015 -- Parkman White, LLP is proud to announce the addition of Calvin Whaley to its Birmingham office. Cal is a graduate of The University of Alabama School of Law and is admitted to practice in all State courts of Alabama and the Federal District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Cal's practice focuses on DUI defense, bankruptcy, and civil litigation.

Cal is a member of the National DUI Defense College and helps protect his DUI clients by staying up to date with the latest laws related to DUI defense both nationally and within the State of Alabama. He regularly represents clients charged with alcohol related offenses in both State and Municipal Courts throughout Alabama, including Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia, Homewood, and Mountain Brook. Cal is intimately familiar with DUI law as it relates to probable cause for traffic stops, field sobriety tests, breath tests, driver's license issues, and more.

Cal also has experience in representing debtors seeking bankruptcy protection through either Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Cal regularly appears in the United States Bankruptcy Courts and can represent clients from both Parkman White, LLP offices in Birmingham and Dothan.

Cal is also an important addition to Parkman White, LLP's civil and criminal litigation teams. Cal provides excellent research and trial support to the firm's civil and criminal litigation teams. Cal is often called in to assist with discovery issues on large white collar criminal cases, as well as complex civil cases due to his organizational skills and expertise in technology. As a law student and clerk, Cal was an integral part of the trial team that obtained a full acquittal of a prominent State Senator charged with bribery, wire fraud and money laundering in the "BINGO" trials of 2011 and 2012.
