Canadian Artist Crowdfunding Platform FANPUSH Expands to USA and UK

Vancouver, BC -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/02/2015 -- Successfully launched with a focus on the Canadian music and arts community in 2013, crowdfunding platform FANPUSH has now relaunched their platform in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom with a variety of new categories available.

"The original vision behind the platform was to provide artists with a means to connect with their fans and give them that extra push they need to get where they want to go," said Tommy K.W. Lam, founder of FANPUSH. "With our relaunch we do all that, but are also expanding into new markets, as well as opening up the platform to more than just artists."

The completely revamped website will continue to offer all the great features that FANPUSH users have become accustomed to, but will now also allow campaigns for education, environment, personal crisis, small business, technology, non-profits and the arts.

"Adding these new categories was a natural fit for us as they are the things that matter most to everyone," says Lam. "We are focused on bringing a simpler and fun platform that everyone can use to raise funds."

The new website integrates social media into the user experience to help artists promote their projects. Users can easily share their projects with their followers over Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Plus with just one click. As an added convenience users can sign in to the website using a Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn account and do not need to create a separate account if they do not want to.

FANPUSH is an innovative tool that all artists, app developers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers and any other creative person can utilize. The platform puts users first by not only competing aggressively on fees, but by also utilizing their intimate knowledge of arts, culture and small business to support users who are seeking funds for their projects.

Since its launch in 2013, FANPUSH has had many success stories. Some of these include:

- Funded Canadian Roots artist WiL's new album, El Paseo, within 10 days. The album was recently nominated for Best Roots Album at the Western Canadian Music Awards during the BreakOut West 2015 in Victoria, British Columbia in September of 2015.

- Sponsored the 2013 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) for the Interactive Artist or Group of the Year award that was won by the group High Valley.

- Funded a project for Emmy Award winning composer and producer Don Breithaupt's project: The Breithaupt Brothers Songbook which features artists including Sarah Slean, Ron Sexsmith, Marc Jordan, Sophie Milan and Paul Shaffer.

Watch for FANPUSH to expand into other countries and markets in the years to come.
