Cannes Digital 2016: Connecting the Film Industry to the Digital Age

Cannes Digital is a series of events which take place during the Cannes Film Festival from 14th to 18th May 2016.

 

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/19/2016 -- Cannes Digital 2016 is comprised of four events which include workshops, a roundtable discussion, a mentoring session, and a cocktail mixer. Cannes Digital is an official section of the Festival du Film Merveilleux; This 2016 program is supported by Oorikas and Cloud 21.

After a huge success in 2015, the roundtable "Digital Landscape in Cannes" will be back on Saturday 14th May 2016, from 2:30 pm to 4 pm at the Hotel Eden Spa in Cannes, France. Speakers will focus on using digital as a tool in the film industry, for writing, Virtual Reality, video games, promoting and financing new processes. They will help guide attendees to promote their projects with innovating content designed specifically to interest their target audience. The roundtable will be followed by a Q and A session.

About - A Filmmaker's Survival Workshop in the Digital Age
The workshop series titled "A Filmmaker's Survival workshop in the Digital Age" will be followed by networking session:
Sunday, May 15th, at 2 pm at the Dominican Republic Pavilion
Monday, May 16th, at 2 pm at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Film Commission Pavilion
Followed by the Annual Cocktail Mixer du Festival du Film Merveilleux with an exciting VR experience by Clap and Zap at 5 pm
Wednesday, May 18th, at 2 pm at the Greek Film Centre Pavilion.

The workshops are designed to help filmmakers in the media industry to learn how to improve the quality of the content they create as well as learning how to optimize the digital strategies they use to effectively develop their film and to diffuse it to more viewers. Participants in the workshop series will learn how to use tools such as email marketing, social media campaigns, film branding, story-making as a social media tool, search engine optimization and film festival strategy.

The workshop series are co-organized and led by Benedicte Beaugeois (Founder of Festival du Film merveilleux) and Gotham Chandna (Digital Marketing Strategist)

These events aim to help participants to use digital tools to highlight their talents, to facilitate find funding, and to understand the power of digital as a lever for success.
