The volunteers the organization will recruit will be assigned to help for the coming school year which is from January to October. Recruited volunteers primary work includes directly working with the kids by providing them with day-to-day care as well as supervision. Education is an important component that can ensure a person's live. But not all people are fortunate enough to have the proper education needed to start a career and establish a stable life. The children in Guatemala are just among those unfortunate ones who are deprived the chance to have completed education. Presently, only about 30% of these children are able to finish grade school. As a non-profit organization committed in making a difference in people's lives, Casa Guatemala aims to make a change in that aspect.
They aim to achieve that by helping these children make progress through their early education. But Casa Guatemala also understands that achieving this won't be possible without the help of enough volunteers. The next school year is about to start in Guatemala which also signifies the start of their recruitment period for volunteers. Casa Guatemala is a home, school and organization established for the children coming from the Mayan Villages situated in Southern Guatemala. It is an organization focused on changing these live children, and education is just one of the ways the organization aims to achieve it. All volunteers the organization is able to recruit are called as Orientadores. There are various positions in which interested volunteers can apply and be assigned in the organization. These positions include gym teacher, English teacher, and librarian.
The organization is currently supporting more than 300 children, and it is able to provide all these kids need with the help of its teachers, employees and children. Consequently, application for volunteers at Casa Guatemala is now open for those who wish to be part of the team and help empower these children.

The organization was established in 1977 and has since then helped a lot of Guatemalan children already. Aside from enabling education, Casa Guatemala is also committed in providing these kids with a loving home and health care.
