CEO Marsha Stone Rebrands Business as BRC Recovery and Announces Operation Warm for Christmas Day

BRC Recovery is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center committed to Bringing Real Change, and CEO Marsha Stone has announced Operation Warm to help the homeless community of Austin, Texas.

Austin, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/15/2015 -- Shakespeare once asked 'What's in a name?', but in modern branding, the answer is a great deal. A name acts as part of a larger brand to reflect the purpose and values of a business. That is why a longstanding Austin drug and alcohol rehabilitation center has been renamed BRC Recovery, standing for Bringing Real Change. As part of their commitment to the rebrand, CEO Marsha Stone is bringing a renewed sense of purpose to their work, with their annual outreach program for Christmas Day, called Operation Warm.

Team members and alumni from the Drug Rehab in Austin will spend Christmas Day delivering coats, gloves, scarves, and blankets to the homeless in downtown Austin, TX. They have issued a statement calling for donations of hats, gloves, scarves, coats and blankets, together with monetary donations to help provide hope for the homeless on Christmas Day.

The move is part of an existing series of charitable drives that are undertaken three times a year, with other donation drives in March and August. BRC Recovery created this outreach program in the spirit of the 12th Step. The principle of "give back what was so freely given to you" is an integral part in the 12 Steps of recovery.

A spokesperson for BRC Recovery explained, "We are committed to living a life of sobriety based upon the 12 Step principles and traditions. The Big Book of Alcoholic Anonymous tells us, 'Nothing so much insures immunity from drinking as intensive work with another alcoholic.' Our tri-annual charitable donation drives provide us with an opportunity to be of service in fellowship with one another, and to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate."
