Charity Receives £10,000 from Children in Need

Harrogate, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/27/2016 -- Children In Need has awarded a St Helens charity a grant of £10,000 to enable them to further the support that they offer and change even more lives.

The charity Crossroads Care North West support a range of people including families and children whom are affected by physical disabilities, behavioural and physiological disabilities and those from poverty stricken backgrounds. They provide these people with "Fun Times" programmes where they use a number of activities to put smiles on people's faces – including but not limited to song and dance sessions, arts and crafts workshops and photography competitions. Not only are these activities incredibly fun for all but for children especially they can also be great for learning and gaining a sense of empowerment.

Remnant House, a frequent commentator of industry news were keen to comment on this great news and a spokesperson had this to say:

"There are still children in the UK that are missing out on the fun aspects of life and it is great that more and more charities are providing these children with the tools and space that they need to have fun and learn. Arts and crafts are very important for children when considering development as they can aid leaning in a range of other areas including music, language, social studies and of course art."
