Cherrystone Auctions Announces Prices Realized for Its September 5-6, 2018 Auction

Cherrystone Auctions just released its report of prices realized for its most recent auction. The company stated that the auction took place on September 5-6, 2018.

 

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/05/2018 -- Cherrystone Auctions has released the "prices realized" from its most recent stamp auction, which took place on September 5-6, 2018. The company indicated that the theme of that auction was "U.S. and Worldwide Stamps and Postal History." According to Cherrystone Auctions, the September auction featured 1,119 lots.

Cherrystone went on to provide information about some of the most valuable lots that were sold at the auction. Cherrystone indicated that Lot 1011 featured a collection of stamps from Great Britain, and sold for $30,000. The company indicated that this particular collection featured hundreds of mostly unused singles and sets – dating from 1840-1950 – in a large stock book. The company also highlighted Lot 1020, which featured a collection of stamps from India, and sold for $23,000.

Cherrystone also shared that Lot 535 sold for the large sum of $21,000. According to the company, this particular lot featured a block of 4 Australian stamps from 1929, which depicted short Spencer's Gulf and a Kangaroo with a broken tail. Finally, Cherrystone also announced that Lot 928, which sold for $22,000, featured a large collection of stamps from the United States. According to Cherrystone, this lot featured a well-filled Schaubek album with mostly unused U.S. stamps. Cherrystone said that this auction also featured many other lots that sold for several thousand dollars.
