Participating businesses will benefit by garnering public awareness of their innovation and existence within the Coachella Valley community. SBEMP's goal is to reward businesses and individuals who are successfully impacting the community, although they may not be well known.

The Coachella Valley business awards are in four categories:

The Entrepreneur Award
Nominations for the Entrepreneur Award should be individuals who have, in the past two years, started successful businesses in the Coachella Valley. Through SBEMP's experience as Coachella Valley corporate attorneys, they have advised numerous entrepreneurs through the start-up process, including the formation of various business entities including corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships and filing all needed documents. As these relationships have developed, over time SBEMP has seen businesses that started with an idea blossom into successful ventures. SBEMP would like to initiate a special program focused on rewarding entrepreneurs who have turned their dreams into successful and creative business realities.

The Innovation Award
The Innovation Award will go to the nominee whose company developed a new product, technique or service that has positively affected their trade.

The Growth and Opportunity Award
For those individuals who have actively encouraged new job development and the growth of the local economic community, the Growth and Opportunity Award will be designed to reward them, whether they are involved in politics, government or education.

The Green Award
With the Green Award, SBEMP wishes to reward Coachella Valley green entrepreneur innovation. To that end, nominees should be individuals whose businesses are creatively positively impacting climate change.

After years of working closely with businesses, SBEMP's experience has included everything from acquisitions, mergers, formation and advising both for-profit and non-profit companies regarding legal compliance. SBEMP has had the opportunity to work with corporations both large and small and to provide documents and legal advice.
