College Owlz Launches Online Sign-Up Portal in Preparation for Website Beta Launch on January 2015

Spokane, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/10/2014 -- College Owlz launches its sign-up website on October 21, 2014 to encourage students from Pacific Northwest Universities to take part in the new online selling and social platform where they can earn by selling their lectures, notes and used books. CollegeOwlz.com will be launching beta website on January 2015. Current sign-up and beta launch are done in partnership with Zipline interactive, a Washington-based web design agency.

How CollegeOwlz.com Works?

Ran by a secure network where only college students are allowed to sign-up, CollegeOwlz.com is initially, a community of students for students within the Pacific Northwest region.

Signing up is easy with a student's university email [required] to help keep the exclusivity of the site. Once registered, they can easily post college textbooks they want to sell, including notes, flashcards, and study guides. For students looking for particular stuff, they can also search for specific notes and reviewers, peek at a preview section of the note to help them decide before buying and making final purchase.

With notes from real students, they can get the advantage of a tutor minus the ridiculously high prices one has to pay if they hire private tutors.

All purchase transactions will be carefully done through PayPal for added security purposes. Posting old course textbooks is only $4 per piece. Students can set the selling price to breakeven from the small posting fee and earn something. They can also customize their posts with necessary details such as ISBN numbers and images of the book for preview to encourage more buyers. Since they're also used, buyers can save money as well. Students can also purchase in advance or in bulk so they get to prepare for the next term beforehand and for fairer prices.

In the social portion of CollegeOwlz.com, any student gets alerted of upcoming events in their respective colleges or within the local region. Events can either be fundraisers, sporting events or concerts so they can socialize and have more network opportunities with other college students.

The events feature will only highlight events within their region of choice so it goes away with the clutter of other information found on most social networks today. Every student has the chance to favorite events, add them to their personal calendar and view anticipated attendance for that event.

Beta services will be scheduled for launching on January 2015 on the following universities: Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, Whitworth University, Washington State U, University of Montana, Spokane Community College, Lewis & Clark State College, Spokane Falls Community College, North Idaho College, and the Gonzaga University.

From their initial launch they are set to move eastward from Pacific Northwest region to cover the rest of the USA.
