Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/27/2015 -- Music composer Don Bodin has received a nomination for the Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) 'Best Score For A Commercial Advertisement' for his original music composition for the Manolo Blahnik spot - "A Desire, a Hunt, a Treasure . . "

The Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA), which The Hollywood Reporter is calling the "One of the better predictors of the Golden Globe and Oscar(s)", will be held at the the Fonda Theater in Hollywood California on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.

Bodin's nominated score is for his work on a spot that launched Manolo Blahnik's new line of handbags. Bodin created the orchestral score for the striking animated spot by writing, recorded the musicians and delivering the final mix in less than 56 hours. The spot premiered at Vogue.co.uk on Monday (July 27, 2015).

"I do a lot of work with quick turn-arounds but to write a score this elaborate, adjust for revision from the director, track the live musicians and mix and master all in less than 3 days really brought it down to the wire." Bodin stated. "I was in the studio tracking the woodwinds when I got the final notes from the director. I only had 10 minutes to re-write the ending of the score because we were running out of studio time."

Nominees up for HMMAs in other category include Sam Smith, Lady Gaga, Brian Wilson as well as composers Carter Burwell, Thomas Newman, Alan Silvestri, Christophe Beck, Danny Elfman, Brian Tyler, Harry Gregson-Williams, Michael Giacchino, Junkie XL - Tom Holkenborg..
