The article also advised that in the event of a spill, the granite should be blotted immediately. Granite is porous, and if liquids are left untreated, they will seep beneath the surface and cause staining.
Karagiorgos finally advised annual sealing. While there are a variety of products available on the market, she recommended using a stone enhancing sealer, which will work deeply by setting beneath the surface, while giving the counter an extra shine.
