Craft Beer Hound Celebrates One Year in Business - Donates Anniversary Month Proceeds to Operation Homefront

Boulder, CO -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/29/2014 -- Craft Beer Hound, a specialty retailer of gifts and gadgets for beer lovers, kicked off a month-long celebration to commemorate its first year in business by donating proceeds from the business for the month of October to Operation Homefront.

“We are so excited to celebrate our first year in business by contributing to Operation Homefront. Many of our customers are service members or have friends and family in the service. This month-long celebration is an opportunity for us to take a moment and be thankful for our freedom as entrepreneurs and to give back to the service members who defend that freedom,” says Co-Founder Amy Mendez.

Co-Founder Gina Williams added, “Our first year in business has been both fun and challenging. The craft beer community has been very receptive to what we’re doing and Amy and I have had a great time figuring out how to grow a new business. We’re thrilled with how well the business is doing and look forward to sharing our success with military families.”

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. A national nonprofit, Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers across a network of field offices, and has met more than 750,000 needs since 2002. 93 percent of all donations to Operation Homefront go to its programs.
