Crowdfunding Campaign in Progress for a Professional Gadget to Fix, Glue, and Post Cure 3d Prints from 3D Facture, a Leading 3D Printer Manufacturer

Willow Grove, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/09/2016 -- A team of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers have developed a solution for a problem that most people who are into 3D printing or model creating: repairing defects. 3Dfacture has created a handy pen to bond, build, and fix anything called the 3Dfixer which is a digital liquid dispensing syringe with a UV LED for 3D print post curing. The 3DFixer project is currently in need of funding to cover the tooling, manufacturing and various other expenses, a crowdfunding campaign has been launched on KickStarter with a funding goal of at least $7,000 to be raised before Fri, Apr 15 2016.

The 3Dfacture spokesperson said: "In 3D printing, we add supports to ensure the stability of the print model, but after removal of those supports, there can be many surface defects left behind, marring the finish of the model. The traditional way to repair these defects is to draw some resin with a syringe, inject it into the defects, and then cure it with either sunlight or an UV lamp. However, it is very difficult for beginners to control the release of resin from the syringe. Manual repair is time consuming, it is difficult to get the desired effect, and you could accidentally ruin the whole print! After experiencing various levels of success in repairing models, we decided to develop a professional product for resin model repair: the Fixer."

The proposed 3D printer tool will be an easy to use handy device that will allow users to control the amount of resin extruded via a programmable syringe pump. Not only will the users be able to control the outflow of resin from the fixer they will also be able to suck resin back into the syringe. After you have the right amount of resin injected, the fix can be cured immediately using the integrated tightly focused UV LED light in less than 30 seconds. According to the company The Fixer will work on any UV curable resin, Envisiontec, Autodesk, Formlabs, B9, FTD, Makerjuice, or regular UV LOCA glue.

The ongoing Kickstarter with a $5,000 funding goal has seen steady progress since its launch. However the team behind the campaign would like to continue their success streak, they looking towards the generosity of the online crowd. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use. A variety of different rewards and perks are also being offered to prize the generosity of those who support the campaign and the project through their monetary contributions. The 3Dfacture team is ready to take on any challenges that might occur. This is their second Kickstarter campaign, the team is using the knowledge and experiences gained from their previous campaign to ensure that the Fixer3D campaign and project runs smoothly through to completion.
