The VersaBaby project is currently in need of funding to cover the unique materials, purchase of machinery, cutting edge printing technology and packaging and various other expenses. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched on KickStarter with a funding goal of at least $60,000 NZD to be raised before Tuesday, Oct 20 2015.
The VersaBaby line of products have been created with food grade silicone which is BPA free and non-toxic, making it safe for children who tend to put toys in their mouth, bite and chew it. The unique material of the flash cards, books and charts has been selected to remove the choking hazard of swallowing torn paper, which is a serious concern for parents. A variety of pliable learning toy's, has been designed to ensure that the little one's have their favorites and are occupied and stimulated at the same time. The material is highly durable, can be easily washed, re-used and stored making it environmentally friendly because it saves paper and thus saves trees.
Sessie Viranna, the developer of the concept, a mother and the person behind the VersaBaby crowdfunding campaign said: "VersaBaby is the world's first child friendly, washable, chewable, twistable, squeezable, stretchable, foldable flash cards, books and charts and always feels like new! The VersaBaby line of products will include 12 x Sets of Flashcards available with total 120 images, 5 books with different themes and titles, VersaBaby universal band which has been designed specifically for the books and flashcards. The line also includes 5 charts with different themes such as animals, fruits/ vegetables, Numbers / shapes, alphabets and colors.
The ongoing Kickstarter with a $60,000 NZD funding goal has seen steady progress since its launch. However, the campaign has a long way to go to reach its goals. The project needs the support of the generous online crowd who have young children or children in their family for this creative and interesting solution for children toys to be successful. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use.
