Chesterton, IN -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/14/2015 -- Coloring for Adults is a growing concept that grown-ups are now adopting as a relaxing and therapeutic pastime. The idea of using coloring books is usually attributed to kids, however many grown-ups who are using coloring books believe that it enables them to explore their creative senses. Carol Douthitt and Sarah Douthitt, mother and daughter, have recently discovered the pleasures of using coloring books for adults and have decided to spread the activity along to as many people as possible by creating their own coloring books named - Whispers in Nature Coloring Books for Adults. They have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
The Kickstarter has been set up because Whispers In Nature project is currently in need of funding to cover the publishing, shipping and various other expenses, a crowdfunding campaign has a funding goal of at least $4,000 USD to be raised before Sat, Sep 26 2015.
Whispers in Nature is planned to be a complete series of adult coloring books, of which Fairies, Flowers, and Feathered Friends will be the first. Sarah Douthitt is working on the designs of the book that will feature Fairies, Flowers, Feathered Friends and whimsical scenes from Nature. According to the kickstarter project pitch the books will have 100 pages with 46 designs to color on one-sided pages that are perforated making it easy to tear out the pages so users can frame the finished masterpieces.
The designs have especially been created to be creatively invigorating for adults, allowing users to escape their stresses and worries and visit a world of whimsical creatures and nature. Sarah has also added inspirational quotes from Walt Disney, Rumi, Esther Hicks, and other great people.
Sarah said: "It's a little like meditation... because coloring allows you to shut off all the distractions of the day and get in your own quiet space. It's been proven that the act of coloring relieves stress. Many adults are taking up coloring again because it allows them time to relax and focus on letting your creative inner self come through."
The team behind the Coloring Books for grownups project is looking towards the generosity of the online crowd who enjoy nature and creative ways to relieve stress and anxiety. Different rewards and perks are being offered in gratitude for the generosity of those who support the campaign.
