The Omnipod has been designed by its developer Evan Helfrich to be a lightweight, all-in-one solution for every moment. The Omnipod project is currently in need of funding to cover the manufacturing, marketing and various other expenses to get the product retail ready, for this purpose a crowdfunding campaign has been launched on KickStarter with a funding goal of at least $26,800 which needs to be raised by Sun, Dec 6 2015.
The Omnipod is planned to be a light weight but sturdy monopod and tripod stand for cameras, phones and GoPros, which has been created out of high quality material to ensure that the product is able to withstand the rigors of both indoor and outdoor photography in a wide variety of different settings. Legs made using 100% aircraft grade carbon fiber tubing and compress using silver threaded rotary locking system, the legs will include removable rubber feet over spikes which make the Omnipod stable for any terrain. A variety of different features have been carefully integrated to ensure that the product is durable, versatile and efficient as modular tripod stand.
The designing, engineering, the development of the prototype and its testing have all been completed and done by Evan.
The ongoing Kickstarter has seen steady progress since its launch. However the campaign has a long way to go to reach its goals, the team behind the project is looking towards the generosity of the photographer both budding and experienced who appreciate creative solutions. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use. A majority of the funding will be assigned to the tooling of the device; manufacturing, the rest will be spent on the Kickstarter fees and transactions, packaging and shipping costs.
