David MacLean Looks to Raise $110,000 in Crowdfunding via Kickstarter for the Online Fashion Design Academy

Aiming to be the first of its kind in online education by enabling fashion students to learn the art of this trade from the comfort of their own home.

Gold Coast, QLD -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/21/2014 -- Online learning has established itself as a very efficient method for acquiring education while giving students the flexibility and efficiency of gaining critical knowledge without interrupting one’s day to day life. The goal of The Online Fashion Design Academy (OFDA) is to be the most efficient way to gain all the skills needed allowing anyone to become the next top fashion designer.

OFDA was founded to cater to anyone and everyone interested in either fashion design or even something as comparatively simple as learning how to sew at a price that is up to 30 times cheaper than comparable courses offered by local institutions.

Their goal is to create a fun, innovative, affordable and user friendly platform to teach everyone the skills they want to learn at their own pace and from the comfort of their own home. No more commuting, sitting through boring classes and no need to pay a lot of money to do so.

OFDA is for anyone who wants to learn but doesn’t have the time or opportunity to attend conventional classes. This could be very appealing to stay at homes or aspiring fashion designers who want to learn about this alluring trade but can’t afford to give up years of their life and thousands of dollars per year to pursue their goal. Rural students will be particularly fond of this learning medium by avoiding a very long drive to a far-flung school far, far from home.

About OFDA
The OFDA is truly is an industry first. With an extensive collection of films shot in world-class studio facilities planned, the results of these productions will be hundreds of video tutorials filmed from multiple angles with trained, qualified and experienced fashion design instructorsd to truly capture and grasp every technique and skill making it easy for online students to follow. Course material will also include written "step by step" lesson plans to accompany every video tutorial. These can be referred to by students every step of the way so not a single detail is missed.

The curriculum for two courses have already been established with plans for an expanded course catalog in the near future. Funds raised via crowdfunding will bring these two new courses online while paving the way for new courses soon..

This crowdfunding campaign ends on November 6, 2014.
