Dennis Delemar Debuts Black Wall Street During Tulsa Fashion Week

Tulsa, OK -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2015 -- The fashion industry is quickly exploding in Oklahoma, as local and influential out of state designers ripped the runway at the 1st Annual Tulsa Fashion Week: Presented by Jackie Cooper Imports. Designers showcased their collections to Oklahoma's exclusive audience during a four day invite-only fashion shows between September 14-19. One of those designers was 30 year old Dennis Delemar.

On September 16, at the first event of Tulsa Fashion Week dubbed Fashion Meets Art, Delemar debuted Black Wall Street, a fashion lifestyle company created seven months ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through his clothing, Dennis Delemar wanted to impart the unfamiliar, heroic and resilient history of the pioneers who built the infamous Negro Wall Street of America. His concept originated when he was inspired to write the feature film script for Black Wall Street which is currently in development.

"The idea behind the brand is to bring the rich history of Greenwood back through clothing but also to inspire people and to get them to rethink history and the social issues that are going on in the world today" Delemar said.

Black Wall Street's current Collection features royal gold, black and white. Black Wall Street was created to uplift people with fashionable clothing like The King, and The Queen. As the social climate increases around the globe, Black Wall Street's motto, "a message behind every thread" hits home, in the home of the original Negro Wall Street of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
