In 2013, all dermatologicals recorded positive value sales growth mainly driven by increasing prices, while volume sales stagnated in most product areas.

Competitive Landscape

Bayer Hungaria Kft led sales of dermatologicals in 2013 with 29% value share due to its leading antifungal brand Canesten and its variants. Bayer's Bepanthen brand was also among the top brands in nappy (diaper) rash treatments. Egis Gyogyszergyar Nyrt ranked second with 9% value share as the company's Reparon brand led sales of haemorrhoid treatments and marketed such popular brands as Betadine, Alsol and Telviran. PGT Healthcare ranked third accounting for 8% value share mainly due to the ongoing popularity of its Neogranormon brand.
