Bergen County, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/31/2016 -- Life after death is a subject that can evoke many different emotions, especially in our senior population. Senior Source invites all seniors in the Bergen County area to join the conversation by offering an in-depth, enriching panel discussion led by a group of prominent eastern and western religious leaders of Bergen County. This needed dialogue will take place from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016, and will be held at Senior Source in The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, New Jersey.

"This panel represents one of the most diverse gatherings of religious leaders at a single event in Bergen County," said Jerome Gans, owner of Zounds Hearing of Bergen County, a co-sponsor of the event. "In today's unsettled religious environment, I think it's more important than ever to have open discussions."

Senior Source offers a comfortable and empowering environment for the Bergen County area's senior community. This event is part of a rich calendar of activities driven by the community in pursuit of a common goal: active living.

The panelists participating are Rabbi David Fine (Judaism), Father Phil LaTronico (Roman Catholicism), Reverend Peggy Niederer (Protestantism), Imam Moutaz Charaf (Islam), Mini Suri (Sikhism), Alka Chandra (Hinduism), and Alton Williams (Bahá'í Faith). Each panelist will speak for 5 – 10 minutes on their faith understanding of life after death, followed by a time for questions from the audience. Attendees will benefit from being able to hear about different religious perspectives presented in a non-defensive and respectful manner.

"The spirit of this event is to promote open discussion on a topic that many people in our senior community may have questions about," explained Mr. Gans. "We are thrilled that we can help sponsor these kinds of informational opportunities for residents of Bergen County and the surrounding areas."

Zounds Hearing of Bergen County, the Bergen County Council of Churches, and Senior Source are all sponsors of this free event that is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
