Dr. Rodman had a background in social work before starting her medical career. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Rodman completed her residency in Otolaryngology (ears, nose, and throat) at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She was selected to be in a prestigious fellowship in facial and plastic reconstructive surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University, the only fellowship focused on craniofacial surgery and complex reconstructive surgery for the head and neck. In fact, Dr. Rodman is one of a few surgeons that can perform procedures as wide ranging as fixing birth defects, microvascular reconstruction, cosmetic procedures, and more.

Dr. Rodman has shown outstanding skill in medicine and scientific research, and has been bestowed honors like the Resident Member of the Year Award, Outstanding Junior Resident, 1st Place Winner of the Houston Society of Otolaryngology Resident Research Competition, and fellowship and leadership grants from the American Academy of Otolaryngology. In addition to her many accolades, Dr. Rodman has authored multiple scientific papers for publication or clinical review, and presented her work around the country to experts in her field.
