EDsmart Names the Top 30 Historically Black Colleges and Universities by Average Starting Salary

 

Prairie View, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/26/2015 -- EDsmart evaluated 112 HBCUs according to average starting salaries as reported by Payscale.com. The rankings name the nation's top 30 historically black colleges and universities and recognizes other high-performing HBCUs.

"An HBCU that emerges from our analysis as one of the best has much to be proud of," said EDsmart's spokesperson. "Only 30 out of 112 institutions are recognized for their high performance as among the nation's best. Just one-third of all historically black colleges and universities earn a national ranking in the selected criteria."

EDsmart publishes the Top 30 Historically Black Colleges by Average Starting Salary to help guide students, parents, and counselors who need results-oriented outcomes to begin their search for a university. Alumni average starting salary solely determined the rankings.

University response to EDsmart rankings have been very positive. Sharing the rankings on their websites and via social media has helped schools attract new students and excite existing students and alumni.

The rankings and data were produced for EDsmart, a leading higher education research organization. All evaluated data was gathered from IPEDs, U.S. Dept. of Higher Education, school websites and other reputable sources.
