Fort Worth, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/23/2014 -- Frederick von Wigglebottom is the core character of the Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom book series. Frederick is a young adventurer and explorer who travel the globe looking to meet new friends and learning about different cultures. Each time he “lands” in a new and incredible adventure, he meets two friends, always a boy and girl who are from that country. Together, they teach Frederick about their culture, history and other cool facts. Frederick serves as the focus for questions and interactions with these supportive characters.
Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom appeals to children in the intermediate grade levels from third to fifth/early sixth grades. The characters and story line also appeal to children ages eight and older to be read by themselves but Frederick's adventures make for great bedtime stories or to be read at school for children in the younger grades, ages three and up. These stories also make a great addition to support the home-school library or to prepare young travelers for adventures of their own.
Edward Moldenhauer is planning to chronicle as many of his stories through the Spin the Globe: The Incredible Adventures of Frederick von Wigglebottom series as possible. The first two books have already been self-published and are currently available through Amazon, Borders, etc. Book One (Dreamtime in Alice Springs) centers on Alice Springs, Australia and Book Two (Fjords, Vikings, and Reindeer) is centered in Trondheim, Norway. All Kickstarter contributions will go 100% toward the publishing of Book Three in the series (Alpacas in the Andes - Cusco, Peru) for editing, illustrations, book design, production and printing and e-book formatting.
This project will only be funded if at least $2,500 is pledged by Thu, Aug 14 2014 9:35 AM +05:30.
