Elements of Design: Celebrating Nature Through Fashion

kick off summer raising awareness about the environment through fashion. This is a precursor for the SAVERS EcoFashion Show that will take place at Boston GreenFest on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

 

Boston, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/09/2015 -- Foundation for a Green Future, Inc., Boston GreenFest, and VStyle Productions. Partnership with: Rose Kennedy Greenway, Savers and John Robert Powers. Althea Blackford of VStyle Productions is the Creative Director of the show and Dr. Karen L. Weber is the Executive Director of the Foundation and Boston GreenFest.

To pay honor to Juneteenth and the start of summer, the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. and VStyle Productions present the Elements of Design, an EcoFashion Show that features four designers that represent the four elements: Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Each of these designers will use upcycled or recycled fabrics or organic materials in their collection. Our featured designers are: Daughters of Ra by Maryanne Meservey as Air, Style Your Curves by Ty-Juana Flores and Savers Thrift Store Stylist as Water, Sparklle T by Sparklle Thames as Fire and Shubrah by Shubhra Bhattacharya Chandra as Earth. There will be a performance by Jo-Mé Dance Company and Seekers of Knowledge dance troupe.

This summer show is a free event open to the public. Savers is our EcoFashion sponsor and Honest Tea is sponsoring the beverages.

Rose Kennedy Greenway, in front of the Rings Fountain, between Milk St. and State St. near the New England Aquarium.
