Norristown, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/24/2016 -- Elmwood Park Zoo will host several family-friendly events from now until the New Year to usher in the holiday season. Those looking for fun things to do in the Philadelphia area during the holidays can turn to the Elmwood Park Zoo, as it invites guests to join in on the festivities.

The fun begins with the return of Elmwood Park Zoo's Christmas tree sale on November 25, 2016 (Black Friday). The trees will cost only $35 each on this day as a special one-day-only price. Throughout the rest of the holiday season, the zoo will have a selection of lit and unlit Douglass Firs for sale ranging from $35 to $60. Continue the Black Friday celebration at the zoo with the opportunity to meet-and-greet with two live reindeer. Guests may purchase a photo during hour-long sessions with females Tre and Clarice, who are "in training" to join the ranks of Santa's team. They will be available for photos every day throughout the New Year.
