London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/16/2016 -- With entries for the 2016 Event Technology Awards well under way, organizers have announced an opportunity for innovative businesses to impress the industry with the second outing of the 'People's Choice Award'.

The 'Favorite Event Technology Supplier' award, for companies that have developed an innovative technological solution which can be used to deliver, monitor, analyse or improve events, will face a public vote before gold, silver and bronze winners are revealed. Potential applicants need to demonstrate how their solution benefits the sector and why the industry should vote for them.

"Whilst the judging panel represents a broad cross-section of the industry, and impressing them is no mean feat, we thought it was equally as important to give a voice to the industry, and enable those that use these technologies on a daily basis to show their support," explains organiser Adam Parry of AMP Events.

Alongside the 'People's Choice Award', AMP Events has also launched five other new categories to encompass, networking technology, proximity marketing technology, event connectivity & Wi-Fi and best augmented / virtual reality technology will also be able to join in the celebrations for the Awards' fourth outing in London later this year.

Designed to recognize and embrace the use of technology at events, festivals, conferences and exhibitions, the Event Technology Awards will be held on Wednesday 9th November 2016.
