Facebook Has Reversed Ban on Recent Lingerie Advert: My-Knickers Comments

Trawden, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/19/2016 -- In July many of you might have seen the #TheNewSexy campaign which was launched on Facebook, aiming to 'tackle social norms' and put emphasis on the fact that all women are sexy. The campaign featured an alopecia sufferer, a recovered anorexic, a transgender woman and more, all modelling sexy lingerie from their boudoir-inspired collection, but after a string of complaints the advert was rejected by Facebook saying that they disallow 'ads that promote sexual acts, sexual videos and publications, strip clubs or adult show'.

Upon receiving the rejection from Facebook the women at Curvy Kate were highly aggravated and upset, after all their advert was not in the slightest promoting any of these things, it was promoting women - Women of all varieties and from a range of backgrounds! They went on to appeal against the ban, and saw a mass of support from fellow Facebook users, resulting in Facebook reversing the band and even apologising.

A spokesperson from leading online lingerie retailer My-Knickers was keen to comment saying, "We are so happy that Facebook has seen sense and reversed the ban on this remarkable and truly beautiful advert, and we are positive that many other ladies across the world are too. We think the advert is incredibly powerful; all women deserve to feel special and wear the most gorgeous lingerie, and this is why we offer a range of lingerie options in a wide variety of styles and sizes."
