Washington City, WA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/25/2014 -- Finca Guatemala, a non-profit organization dedicated for the betterment of malnourished, orphaned and abused children of Guatemala is pleased to announce the launch of its “Redeveloping Casa Guatemala Orphanage's Farm" crowdfunding campaign. The goal of this campaign is to raise $2000 in pledges, which will be used for the total restoration of a teaching farm that not only supplies produce, eggs and meat for a balanced diet to the kids, but necessary skills to help insure the children a brighter future.
The “Redeveloping Casa Guatemala Orphanage's Farm">Redeveloping Casa Guatemala Orphanage's Farm" campaign is currently live on StartSomeGood.com and the organizers of this campaign are welcoming all the backers and supporters to help them with their cause. As a contributor, one can make contributions ranging from a minimum of $3 to a maximum $250. All the funds received will be used for the total restoration of chicken, turkey, ducks and water fowl area, and purchase of additional hens and ducks for the turkey’s area. Moreover, it will ensure a total of 16 months of quality feed for the ducks, chickens and turkeys.
Casa Guatemala was established in the year 1977 in Guatemala City with an aim to help malnourished, abused and orphaned kids during the brutal civil war. However, since then it has helped hundreds of kids with better nurturing, education, health care and safe home. The Casa Guatemala Orphanage in Rio Dulce, Guatemala is a home and school to more than 250 kids who are provided with all the basic education, food, home, medical aid and skills necessary for a better life and brighter future. This orphanage has a teaching farm where vegetables are grown throughout the year. Moreover, the farm even raises pigs, turkeys and chickens, which provide the kids with necessary meat and eggs for a balanced diet.
