Cleckheaton, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/05/2017 -- The Telegraph, a daily newspaper updating people on the latest news, business and sport have released a new article which states that people should now ditch quirky packaging. One of Britain's leading food gurus has said that people need to stop covering up products with witty slogans – even taking his irritation to certain food firms.

It has been said that it started when Innocent launched their smoothies in 1999, other companies are taking up their own style by appealing to the younger generation. However, many people have said that this has got out of hand, with companies constantly trying to come up with the wittiest slogan for their products packaging.

Some of the slogans which companies came up with were:

Tyrrells crisps, "Perfect with a pork pie hat at a rakish angle."

Buff nuts, "Gnaw on that you naughty squirrel, you!"

A spokesperson from the leading packaging company was keen to comment saying, "Many people find these slogans irritating and some find them hilarious, however there are plenty of other ways people can ensure that their product appeals to all people. One of the most popular way of packaging a product is shrink wrapping. Shrink wrapping is great as It protects the product from dirt, moisture and other contamination not to mention it makes the product look remarkably better – keeping it fresh. Here at Sontex we provide a variety of machinery, including shrink wrapping, making your life easier."
