Standish, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/25/2016 -- Before the innovative LiftPlus by Magline there were a series of functions performed mostly with Fork Trucks. The process was not lean because of the number of steps needed to move products within a manufacturing cell or distribution center. Operations personnel needed to page for fork truck and/or go retrieve one, clear large enough area to bring fork truck into the manufacturing cell, then maneuver truck to die rack.
Next the fork truck driver needed to exit the vehicle, adjust forks to fit die being set, load die on forks, and get back on fork truck. Next one had to drive to press area, slide die onto press, adjust forks back to original position, and then take truck back to shipping/receiving area. This process took too many steps and definitely was not lean.
LiftPlus by Magline can manage within a manufacturing cell completely avoiding the need for the fork truck. This is a new and innovative version of fork truck free and an example of Magline innovation.
