Charlotte, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/14/2014 -- MsTreated t-shirt line has been developed as a means to create an empowering and educating tool for teens, women, and men to start a dialogue about the characteristics of love …namely, what it is and what it isn't. The goal of this project is to help teens, women, and men of all ages to recognize the signs of being “mistreated.”
MsTreated garments for teens, women, and men is an empowerment movement which is aimed to help remind all that "They do not ever have to accept a disrespectful or abusive relationship, marriage, or break-up ever."
Part of the proceeds from MsTreated T-shirt Line will provide victims monetary support for immediate shelter via hotel, etc to ensure their safety until space is available at their local shelter.
The long term goal of this project is to purchase houses and convert them into Safe Havens. They will give victims the option to leave their abusive relationship without the financial burden that hinders so many from leaving their abuser.
There are not enough Safe Havens or Shelters for battered women, men, and children and they are so desperately needed. Most victims that leave end up homeless or going back to the abuser and possibly killed for leaving in the first place.
Financial contributions will support the production of the MsTreated T-shirt Line. Proceeds from the MsTreated T-shirt Line will assist with rescuing families from the death trap of domestic violence by giving victims immediate assistance to escape to a safe haven. MsTreated will partner with churches and county programs and assist victims on a referral basis.
This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: February 03, 2014 - April 04, 2014 (11:59pm PT).
