Haifa, Israel -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/01/2013 -- Free Greeting Cards launched a campaign via crowd funding site Indiegogo to raise funds to develop software that lets customers build flash animated greeting cards. The campaign hopes to raise $50,000 by Nov. 24, 2013 (11:59 pm PT).

The free online email service is already an App in the Chrome web store, but the funding will provide a new software version that gives customers the opportunity to design their own cards. Customers will be able to choose from a variety of customized templates, animation, pictures, and multiple languages.

“With the popularity of customized web blogs, scrapbook pages, and the like, we felt that our customers would want to be able to make their own flash animated greeting cards as well. It makes the card more personalized and special for the recipient,” says Olga Karpushin, owner of Free Greeting Cards.

Free Greeting Cards is seeking investors so they have the funds to hire a Web Designer and Flash Developer to create the new version. They hope to complete the new version in six to 12 months.

Investors have until Nov. 24 to select a “perk” contribution on the Indiegogo project page. With a donation of $50 dollars and above, Free Greeting Cards will give the investor a license of a particular flash card collection for personal, noncommercial use. It includes the swf and flash file, the html code, and music files. Investors can receive all 11 collections for a donation of $300 dollars. Claiming the highest perk, the investor will receive a full website with installation to their chosen web server.

“Who doesn’t enjoy animated greeting cards, and especially ones that you can design yourself. Investors have an opportunity to increase happiness, as recipients receive beautifully designed cards from their loved ones,” says Karpushin.

Once the new version is up, all of Free Greeting Cards will be set to music in a customizable Flash format, for any occasion. And, of course, it’s all free.
