Palm Harbor, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/20/2017 -- A contract has been signed this week between FreightCenter and major league baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies and minor league team, the Clearwater Threshers. The contract entails that FreightCenter, a third-party logistics company, will be the official freight shipper for both teams during the 2017 baseball season.

FreightCenter has structured the partnership to offer all fans of both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Clearwater Threshers a discount on their freight shipping as well.

The Threshers play in the Florida State League and their home stadium is the Spectrum Field, located in Clearwater, Florida. The Phillies home stadium is Citizens Bank Park, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, they conduct spring training at the Spectrum Field. Between both teams, they will play over 300 games during the 2017 season.
