FROG Watches Announces Launch of Investment Campaign

Seedrs push will fund high-end vintage watch company and offer a solid, tax-secured ROI

Alderley Edge, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/15/2014 -- FROG Watches, vintage-inspired watches based on original designs from the 1930s, announced today the launch of its Seedrs investment campaign. The Seedrs campaign’s initial goal of £75,000 for business start-up costs and initial growth is currently active and offers 10 percent equity and a valuation (pre-money) of £675,000.

The campaign qualifies for Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) tax relief, providing eligible investors up to 78 percent of their investment back, up front, and further tax incentives on disposal.

“Inspired by the style of the ’30s and ‘40s our designs are retro styled modern classics,” says Mark Duffy, CEO of FROG Watches. “True to its tradition and early ideals, this collection of watches offers vintage elegance and timeless appeal.”

Far from being just another pretty face in luxury timepieces, FROG Watches has identified market potential and set the stage for investment success by carrying out a savvy business plan with precision.

Since its inception in January 2012 the Company has achieved the following:
- Established a reliable reputable production partner
- Created and tested a fully functioning e-commerce website
- Carried out market research and tests with samples. (This has attracted interest from industry buyers including River Island and John Lewis.)
- Developed a catalogue with varying designs and ranges.

The company is led by Mark Duffy, a successful designer who has over 20 years of experience within the fashion industry. Mark has designed, sourced, and successfully sold original brand fashion ranges into the multiple and independent high street retail sectors. He has established an excellent network of contacts over his years in the industry.

“There is a gap in the market for a vintage styled watch brand, as so many of the competitors make variations of the same contemporary designs,” says Duffy. “Many people want a vintage watch, but do not want the inconvenience of it losing time, the frustrations of winding watches up, and the signs of wear and tear associated with old watches. Designer Watches remove these problems offering horological nostalgia with modern technology. So far this range has excited students to businessmen.”

The Company has ambitious growth and expansion plans and aims to achieve a turnover of more than £6 million over the next three years and aims to provide a lucrative tax-free return to investors within the next three to five years.
