However, unlike most poetry, each of Smith’s words seeks to help the reader both recognize and embrace the unwavering beauty that exists all around them.
“I grew up outdoors; swimming, fishing and literally being one with nature. I then instilled a discipline of hard work and slaved at many jobs to build my first car and start my first business. But things then fell apart,” explains Smith.
Continuing, “Businesses failed, I chose to journey into love with the wrong women and everything I had worked for was literally pulled from underneath me. I was left with nothing and could have turned sour against the world. However, I remembered the beauty all around me, and each time it allowed me to dust myself off and start again.”
Smith knows that others struggle to recognize this beauty.
“When the world appears to be against you, nobody can blame you for turning a blind eye to beauty. However, it can be your savior, you just have to know it is there. The purpose of this book is to highlight the beauty that is all around us all of the time – even in the smallest and possibly most insignificant of things.”

Smith has big philanthropic plans for the future.
