Georgia Integrative Medicine Founder Closes Doors to Take Position at Miami Cancer Institute

Dr. Kim Tasked to Develop an Integrative Medicine Program through Cancer Patient Support Services at Miami Cancer Institute

 

Tyrone, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/01/2016 -- After many years of treating patients with evidenced based integrative medicine, Dr. Yoon Hang John Kim will be taking his talents to South Florida to join the Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Kim is tasked with developing an evidence-based integrative medicine practice at the Institute, reflective of the integration of conventional medicine and integrative medicine. His practice will utilize evidence-based health and medicine modalities including but not limited to: acupuncture, massage therapy, meditation, and yoga.

About Dr. Kim
Georgia Integrative Medicine Founder Yoon Hang John Kim, MD has been practicing integrative medicine and acupuncture since 1999. As a residential fellow at the University of Arizona, he trained with Dr. Andrew Weil, a world-renowned leader in the field of integrative medicine. As an integrative health consultant to hospitals, academic institutions, and clinicians, Dr. Kim has established numerous integrative medicine practices. He is the founder of the Integrative Health Studies Certificate Program at the University of West Georgia, where he has also taught. He is the author of more than 20 articles on integrative medicine. During his studies at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Kim was named a Howard Hughes Medical Research Fellow. In addition to preventive medicine training from University of California, San Diego, Dr. Kim completed the UCLA Medical Acupuncture Training Program for Physicians and holds a Master's in public health (MPH) from San Diego State University.
