The Gift Card Project app will give users greater access to its website and mainstream efforts to help the homeless.

"The launching of a Gift Card Project app is the first step in our national efforts to harness and leverage technology to help the homeless," said Gift Card Project founder Ryan Bilodeau. "In the future we plan to allow app users to identify neighborhoods in which homeless are especially prevalent so that limited resources can be spent more wisely. Homelessness is a big enough problem that we need to be proactive in solving it."
