Gladwyne, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/31/2019 -- As the leading school for 2-year-olds in and near the Narberth community, Gladwyne Montessori's Parent-Toddler program is a family's initial introduction to the Montessori classroom. It provides a safe place for parents of children ages 12-24 months to talk about their pressing parenting questions while simultaneously making new friends of their own. The program provides an opportunity for parents to learn together while also bonding over the knowledge that they're all experiencing similar life milestones and challenges while raising young toddlers.
A certified psychologist leads Gladwyne Montessori's program, equipping families with the tools and information they need to support the growth of their child. A supportive group environment such as this gives participants the opportunity to share in the joys, and the unavoidable challenges, of parenting.
Although all parents can benefit from this educational class, those who are first-time parents or those who may not have family close by will find wonderful support during this exciting yet somewhat intimidating time in their parenting journey by enrolling in this program. Topics of discussion range from sleeping, eating, temperament, discipline, separation, development, toilet learning, emotional development and more.
For one hour and fifteen minutes, the participating toddlers are free to explore their environment, which will have been set up specifically for them. The developmentally appropriate activities and materials expand and change all throughout the year to meet the ever-changing needs of the children. Children are also provided with a wholesome snack. The classes are set to meet on Thursday and Friday mornings from early fall to late spring during the 2019-2020 school year.
