Gladwyne, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/26/2018 -- Gladwyne Montessori's Parent/Toddler program is a parent's first introduction to the Montessori classroom and provides a safe place for parents of children ages 12-24 months to discuss their pressing parenting questions while also making some new friends of their own. This program is an exceptional opportunity for parents to learn together while bonding over the knowledge that they are all experiencing similar developmental milestones and challenges in raising their young toddlers.
A certified psychologist leads the program, equipping parents with the tools and information needed to support the growth of their child. The group environment allows parents to meet other new parents who are undergoing similar challenges and milestones alongside one another.
While all parents can benefit from this educational class (educational for both the parent and the child), those who may not have family nearby will find great support during this exciting, yet somewhat daunting time in their parenting journey by enrolling. Topics of discussion range from eating, sleeping, discipline, temperament, development, separation, emotional development, toilet learning, and so much more.
For an hour and fifteen minutes, the toddlers are free to explore the environment, which has been set up specifically for them. The developmentally appropriate materials and activities expand and change throughout the year to meet the changing needs of your child. Children are also provided a snack. The classes will meet on Thursday and Friday mornings from October to May for the 2018-19 school year.
